FRIDLEY, MN—Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) and Benedictine Health System (BHS) announced that PHS will assume ownership and management from BHS of Interlude™ Restorative Suites in Fridley, effective November 1, 2017.
Interlude Restorative Suites was launched in 2015 by Allina Health System, the Benedictine Health System (BHS), and Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS). The collaboration of three well-established non-profit health care providers created the unique Interlude transitional care brand that offered innovative care to those who desire state-of-the-art rehabilitation with hotel-like accommodations. The brand was built on the shared values of the three partners, yet was uniquely implemented at each location.
At its inception, PHS managed the Plymouth location on the Abbott Northwestern - WestHealth campus and BHS managed the Fridley location on the Mercy Hospital - Unity Campus.
Over time, the partners have realized that a unified operational approach will best maintain consistent services and strengthen the brand for guests across the two Interlude locations. The change of ownership is not expected to alter the experience of guests at Interlude-Fridley as it continues to provide the highest quality rehabilitative care.
Interlude-Fridley employees will continue to serve guests through the transition. “We care deeply for all our guests and associates and will be working closely with Presbyterian Homes & Services to make this transition as seamless as possible,” said Rocklon “Rocky” Chapin, BHS president/CEO.
